HTML Music Player Help

Postby DJ Omar » Wed Jun 09, 2010 7:42 pm

Hey guys I'm building a site you can check it out at www.elitephotophx.com

Basically the music player on there I want it to continuously play without restarting when you click other pages. I know you can do this with flash but this is an html site. There is only 4 songs and I think the only way you could do that is if you build 2 frames which I have no idea how to do. But if anyone knows how can someone teach me so I can build a frame just for the footer and the other frame for everything else. Maybe that will work?

Thanks to whoever helps.

Try this:

When people enter the site, it opens up another extremely small browser that just plays music, then people can just leave it running in the back ground while they continue to visit your site,

I was actually going to do that but the person I was building it for was being stubborn and did not want that.

you could make an iframe that keeps the a frame on the right side if the sight and only opens links in a frame in the middle

yeah I know how to fix that, I just have to change all the home page links on all the other pages.

But how do I make the footer frame transparent?

you want people to be able to control the music.
it pisses me off so much when i cant turn off sound in a webpage.

like 90% of the people I know hate it when a website starts playing music and they cant turn it off. So have a choice to turn it off.

You want a dynamic site, go with flash, php, ect.
Music continually playing even during page changes is a dynamic site.
HTML, is not dynamic. The closest thing to dynamic your going to get with an html site is DHTML(Dynamic Hyper Text Markup Language).
You really want to reconsider the language you are writing your site in.

P.S.
Your site is nice. A bit over dramatic, but its still nice.
